Dined at a restaurant named Guilio’s in Yonkers last night. This restaurant was suppose to be an authentic take on Italian food being it had been in the neighborhood for years and what use to be a full blown Italian neighborhood. Unfortunately the extremely nearby surroundings are now ghetto living and the food disappointing. Literally no flavor. I ordered Penne with Broccoli Rabe and it just didn’t cut it. Not even close. The bottle of wine that was ordered though was delicious. It was an Edna Valley, California Pinot Noir. Not sure of the year. It help make up for the loss of what should have been a decent entree. The company was good and alot of fun. Overall a good night but I won’t be returning there.
